Gaithersburg
Gaithersburg is a city in Montgomery County, Maryland. The city has approximately 70,000 people. It is the fourth largest city in the state behind Baltimore, Rockville, and Frederick. Gaithersburg is located to the northwest of Washington DC , and is considered a suburb and a primary city within the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area. Gaithersburg was incorporated in 1878.
Gaithersburg is urbanistically diverse. It encompasses a historic Old Town, as well as a new urbanist community called Kentlands. The city also has high-rise/low-rise apartments, a shopping mall, and suburban subdivisions.

The city boasts one of the highest educated labor pools in the country. In fact, Maryland ranks fourth in percentage of the population with a bachelor’s degree and second in the percentage with a graduate or professional degree. The City is within an hour’s drive of many colleges and universities. And several are located just beyond its borders.
