Hello,
It is my understanding that MCPS does not teach computer programming to kids. At least not to elementary school aged kids. Is this true? Is Panda Programmer offering something that MCPS does not? And do you offer anything for summer camp coding?

Hi Mary,
Thanks for your question- Yes, you are correct. While MCPS is a strong public school system, it does not offer computer science in its curriculum for elementary school students. They teach elementary school student about computers, and how to use computers, but they don’t seem to teach them programming…
That’s where Panda Programmer comes in. Our courses teach children how to program computers, and to design and create their own programs. Programming is a very helpful skill for children to have!
